Who we are at Height Advisors
Experts in health and wellness in elevated environments
At Asesores de Altura, we're not just a team; we're an initiative dedicated to science and education, specializing in the effects of altitude on health and human performance. Our project was born from the vision of Dr. Patricia Siques and Dr. Julio Brito, two professors with more than 30 years of experience in health research at high altitudes. Throughout their careers, they have collaborated with universities in Chile, Latin America, and Europe, accumulating invaluable knowledge that they now share with the global community.
Our mission is clear: to be a space for interaction for all those interested in the topic, whether they are organizations, occasional users, tourists, athletes, or workers who are exposed to altitude intermittently or for extended periods. We are not a clinic or medical service, but rather a knowledge and advisory center that helps you understand and manage the challenges posed by oxygen availability in the air.

Our philosophy
Science, experience and dissemination
The work of High Altitude Advisors is based on three fundamental pillars: science, practical experience, and outreach. Every piece of advice, every article, and every course we offer is backed by decades of rigorous research and direct experience in high-altitude terrain. Our team has worked in diverse environments—from sea level to the highest peaks—allowing us to offer a unique perspective that can be applied to real-life situations.
Through our blog and website, we cover crucial topics such as acute hypoxia, chronic hypoxia, mountain medicine, altitude adaptation, and altitude sickness prevention. We aim to demystify these concepts and transform them into practical tools that anyone can use to take care of their well-being. We also address the physiological impact of altitude, oxidative stress due to hypoxia, and acclimatization strategies, providing concrete solutions to reduce risks and complications.
Collaborations and specialized training services
In addition to outreach, at Asesores de Altura we specialize in offering altitude consulting services and online altitude courses. Our approach combines scientific knowledge with personalized advice for organizations seeking to optimize the safety and performance of their teams in high-altitude environments. We work on acclimatization strategies, safety protocols, and medical evaluations, helping to prevent cardiovascular complications and other health problems associated with prolonged exposure to altitude.
We offer tailored training programs for workers at altitude, mountaineers, athletes, and any professional who operates in these environments. Our courses cover everything from the basics of altitude exposure to advanced topics such as hypoxia training. We believe in the power of education to transform people's lives, allowing them to enjoy altitude safely and healthily. We invite you to explore our website and join our community to continue learning together about the science of altitude.
